Gas shielded welding wire is a kind of welding wire, also called Mag/Mig welding wire which is matched with CO2 gas or Arc gas in welding. It has strong resistance to surface scales and oil stains on the base metal. It has low blowhole sensitivity.


CO2 Gas-Shielded Welding Wire is used to welding carbon steels and 500Mpa high strength steels, used in car, building, ships and bridge. Can also be used for speed welding of sheet and pipes.

1. AWS A5.28 ER90S-G can be used for welding 620MPa high strength steel structures, such as construction machinery, pipelines, ships, pressure vessels, etc.
2. Use with 5-25% CO2/ Ar mixed shielding gas. For welding of 550 – 620 MPa tensile grade high strength low alloy steel. Good impact values at -30℃. Widely used for heavy fabrication, pressure vessel and power generation applications.
